Meet the Class of 2019
Josh:
Hi, I’m Joshua Fackler! I graduated this May from Truman State University with a BFA in Graphic Design, and I am both nervous and excited to be one of the graphic designers on the Internship Hop team! I love drawing in all sorts of media, be it ink, pencil, or digital; and when I am not doing that I can usually be found playing the ukulele, studying Italian, or rereading the Harry Potter series for the millionth time. I am looking forward to experiencing the different agencies over the course of the Hop and the unique cultures they possess and challenging myself to grow my designer’s toolbox in order to produce effective visual solutions with both character and heart.
Alyssa:
Hi! My name is Alyssa Dosmann and I just graduated from Texas Christian University with my BFA degree in Graphic Design. I’ve grown up in St. Louis, so I am looking forward to spending the summer experiencing and learning from the many different agencies this city has to offer. I will be working as one of the Graphic Designers on this team of interns. I cannot wait to continue growing in my creative problem-solving skills, as well as, work on a team with such talented people. This internship program is the perfect opportunity for anyone in this industry to learn more in a hands-on environment. Apart from this program, I am also looking forward to enjoying everything my home town has to offer by spending weekends at the ballpark and ordering an endless supply of IMOS Pizza.
Jacob:
Greetings from the lush cornfields of Iowa! My name is Jacob Smith and I’m a self-professed coffee addict from Des Moines. Looking forward to getting to know St. Louis and experience agency culture this summer! I will graduate from the University of Northern Iowa in December with a Marketing: Advertising major and Entrepreneurship minor. Within advertising, my interests are in quantitative data and creating measurable marketing strategies. On the weekends, you can find me shooting hoops at the Y or bowling in tournaments around the Midwest. As the strategist for this year’s Internship Hop team, I’m excited to put my analytical skills to work to solve problems for STL agencies!
Jordan:
Hello! I’m Jordan Moore and I will be starting my senior year next fall at Missouri State University. I am studying marketing with an emphasis in advertising. While I love Springfield, I am proud to call St. Louis my home. I love Gooey Butter Cake, Toasted Ravs, and Ted Drews. I am super excited to take part in the “Hop” this summer and journey to eight innovative agencies all making an impact in St. Louis. I am looking forward to being the team’s Account Manager and combining my passion for business with my creative personality. This will definitely be a summer to remember!
Nicole:
Hi! I’m Nicole Newman and I’m crazy about the movie RENT and copywriting… in that order. Being indoctrinated about it, I hate the Oxford comma. When I was 3, I fell asleep during a Bruce Springsteen concert and at age 5, I decided I wanted to be a donut. Unfortunately, that wasn’t a degree offering at the University of Missouri so I opted for journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications (and a minor in business). I’m now in Mizzou’s accelerated Master’s program and will graduate this upcoming December. This program excites me because it will allow me to experience eight different forms of copywriting and diversify my skills.
