A good media planner has the innate ability to combine fact-based analysis with creative thinking, along with the learned ability to be the calm center of every agency storm.
In this role, you’ll enjoy a high degree of day-to-day variety, with different duties depending on the Client. You get satisfaction from managing detail and juggling projects.
2-6 years of recent experience in a media planning/buying function
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing or relevant studies
Experience with planning a variety of media types, most importantly digital and broadcast
Hands-on experience executing and optimizing social media efforts, including channel setup
Great writing and speaking skills
Excel, PowerPoint and Google Analytics experience
Lead assigned projects and campaigns with Client-facing abilities and demeanor
Assist as liaison to media buying partners and vendors, providing direction and feedback on projects across multiple media types
Facilitate information sharing between internal functions to ensure understanding of plans and approaches
Investigate different paid media approaches for driving results for Clients in paid media
Manage data collection and reporting for paid media
Keep an internal status for active media projects while establishing and adhering to timelines
