Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for advertising legal compliance for all marketing collateral ensuring all state regulatory guidelines are met. This position conducts ad meetings with in-house counsel and is the point of contact for radio production ensuring scripts are written, legally approved, v/o talent hired, and produced at the studio.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Legal/Compliance
• Responsible for review of all advertising materials ensuring that all collateral complies with state regulatory guidelines
• Stays abreast of State Bar guidelines and keeps state summary sheets up-to-date
• Conducts routine ad meetings with in-house counsel presenting the advertising material, suggests appropriate legal mandatories, and seeks final legal approval. If submitted materials are not approved, suggests possible alternatives, if available
• Communicates any required legal changes to the project owner
• Prepares and submits state bar filing materials in a timely manner, keeping spreadsheet current with costs
• Maintains final copies of advertising materials and other related documentation

Radio Production
• Scripts radio spots with the appropriate v/o lines
• Issues ISCI codes and titles for all spots
• Sources appropriate v/o and directs them to record scripted lines
• Sends the recorded lines into production and directs studio to prepare finished spots
• QC’s all final radio ads and “approves” them in the Extreme Reach trafficking platform
• Maintains final copies of advertising materials and other related documentation

Miscellaneous
• Works closely with video producer providing legal verbiage for inclusion into TV spots
• QA all final TV spots after they have been uploaded to Extreme Reach trafficking platform
• Updates referral sources in BlueSky
• Basecamp project administration
• Works on other marketing projects as assigned

Maintains focus on continuous improvement and makes process improvement recommendations to Sr. management.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required

Experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working at an external or in-house agency with hands on experience with ad compliance
• 2 – 4 years of previous hands-on experience with TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, and/or Digital Advertising Production
• Ability to read and interpret legal language and be comfortable interacting with attorneys
• Excellent project management skills to manage vendors, projects, and deadlines

• Teamwork Development Skills
• Excellent Organizational skills
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills are required
• Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
