Junior Art Director
Geile Leon Marketing Communications, a St. Louis-based marketing communications firm has an immediate opening for a Junior Art Director with two – four years of experience in graphic design.
So…you think you’ve got what it takes? If so let’s talk about it. But in the meantime, here is what the job entails. You will be responsible for designing brochures, banner ads, fliers, web sites, landing pages, logos, print ads, and billboards…that kind of stuff. You will work with other seasoned Art Directors and Copywriters to come up with “the big idea”. Once you have approval on said Idea, show us what that looks like across multiple mediums.
Here is what you will do.
You will report to the Associate Creative Director and the Creative Director for direction and guidance. With most jobs we will review a creative brief for that project so you and everyone on the team understands what needs to be done…and when. Yes, we do expect you to come up with ideas. That means visuals, the tone, look and feel of the piece, but also headlines, subheads, little bit of copy,…the big idea.
You’ll need to be capable of setting up production/printer-ready files, and review them with vendors prior to final production.
Yes, you are applying for a Junior Art Director Position, but here at GL, everyone in the Creative Department is a creative. Writers can come up with visuals, and Art Directors can come up with headlines. Doesn’t matter. We are looking for the best ideas to solve brand challenges and help brands succeed.
Here’s what you won’t do.
Come in late. Leave too early. Miss a deadline. Be a jerk to work with. Leave the kitchen a mess. Piss Off The CD.
That’s all. Not too hard…Lets get to work!
Please email your resume to email@example.com, along with a link to your online portfolio or creative samples. Salary level commensurate to experience.
Yes, it’s pronounced Guyel-Leeon. But, we aren’t French. We’re Midwestern. We’re a lean pack of professionals. We aren’t about talk. We’re all about results. And how do you get results? By working hard to make sure everything we do, and you do means something. Every project, every interaction, every relationship – heck, even every handshake has to mean something around here. We’re a close-knit agency that resembles a family more than business. We like to do great work and have fun doing it. And our clients feed off that energy – and appreciate it, too!
