As a strategist at 2e, you will lead the strategy ideation and development efforts across your assigned portfolio with a focus on deriving key insights and defining strategic marketing direction that align to key audience insights and support client objectives. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful and measured strategist who is comfortable taking a lead role while collaborating with key partners across creative, account, engagement, and analytics teams. Focused on leading strategic planning, the strategist will ensure alignment across engagement plans, messaging and positioning, and creative execution to support business and marketing objectives. The strategist position is ideal for a candidate who is naturally curious, possesses an ability to interpret data, enjoys collaboration and working in a fast-paced environment, and has the urge to succeed.
Essential responsibilities include:
Become an expert on the client’s business and industry by ingesting research provided by clients, along with conducting own research efforts as needed
Lead external and internal workshops to understand market, audience, and brand attributes and insights
Research or assess market and audience reports and/or surveys to determine trends and insights that lead to strategy development
Build robust strategic reports that serve as a foundation for work across creative, engagement, and account teams
Build holistic audience personas that include profiles and journeys aligned to key challenges and objectives
Develop marketing and engagement strategies based on audience insights while supporting key business and marketing objectives
Stay abreast of the leading engagement platforms, trends, and innovations for HCPs and patients
Work alongside engagement planners and media teams to ensure engagement tactics and messaging strategy support business objectives
Review KPIs, measurement plans, and reporting to ensure tactics and plans are meeting business and marketing objectives
Build and present performance reports providing insights and measurement across tactics
Develop and deliver high-quality and compelling client presentations
Collaborate and work closely with account and creative teams to ensure all ideas and execution meet business objectives
Create documentation to support and communicate strategies to internal and external teams and clients

Your talent and experience should include:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or public relations, or the equivalent experience that can easily substitute
5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, tactical execution, or planning
Multidisciplinary background preferred, including marketing strategy development, consumer/customer insights, and traditional and digital media
Excellent research, methodology, and planning skills
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
Solid comprehension of marketing (understanding of sales methodology preferred)
Ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations
Experience with B2B and B2C audiences (pharma or medical device preferred)
Knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, and customer care)
Experience in media strategy, planning, and reporting a plus
Experience in establishing KPIs and defining reporting requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word
Understanding or marketing regulations within the pharma and medical device space preferred
