Job Description

As the Content Strategist at MediaCross, you will be responsible for creating, editing and organizing high-quality content in all shapes and sizes, across multiple forms of media. We’re looking for someone with a great attitude who is passionate about marketing and creating engaging, on-brand, audience-specific content – more specifically, someone gifted in storytelling.

What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with strategists, data analysts, designers, and technologists to develop content strategies and well-performing content of all shapes and sizes across multiple forms of media (print + digital)
• Edit the work of others, both for strategy and style, ensuring all content created is clean, polished, and fits into the big-picture strategy
• Leverage research to guide and rationalize content decisions
• Persona development
• Develop and manage a robust content calendar, meeting quick-turn deadlines
• Confidently rationalize and present content strategies to our team and our clients
• Stay up to date on industry news and trends
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need
• 4+ years content development experience, with hands-on experience in developing content marketing strategies
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related field
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with impeccable attention to detail
• Understanding of personas, their challenges, and how to create persona-specific content
• Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics
• Dynamic written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of AP Style
• Ability to take criticism from clients and team members
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations, both internally and with the client
• Writing for and/or experience working with higher education clientele a plus
