This is a full-time position located in our Fairview Heights, IL administrative offices. This position reports directly to the Communications Manager and supports program and service leaders throughout the organization.
. Collaborates with Communications Manager, Senior Leadership and Programs and Services Leaders to ensure digital strategies are integrated to effectively support the organization’s strategic priorities and communications objectives;
. Participates in the strategy and in managing best practices for content creation and distribution;
. Applies stakeholder insights, data, analytics, trends and behaviors to refine social media strategy and implementation;
. Creates and maintains a social media calendar;
. Builds/strengthens relationships with digital media influencers, as appropriate;
. Creates original content to support all social media platforms used by the organization; creates original content to support Hoyleton’s web presence; creates original content needed for other communications platforms (print, newsletters, etc.);
. Monitors and analyzes user trends of all Hoyleton digital channels/website;
. Provides monthly analysis of social media/website and project status reports;
. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
. Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications, Convergence Journalism;
. A minimum of two years of relevant experience;
. Nonprofit experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
. Must have an understanding of and capacity to work with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds;
. Excellent proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite and/or other software, as needed; knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and HeyOrca highly desired;
. Excellent writing and grammar skills;
. Has “reporter” instincts; curious to learn and communicate;
. Comfortable in team-first environment; encourages others
. Organized and can manage multiple projects at once;
. DCFS/CANTS Clearance
